Eligibility
Ugandan applicants are eligible under the Commonwealth eligible-country rules. Applicant must be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country and available to start UK study in September/October 2027. By September 2027, normally requires at least an upper-second-class (2:1) first degree, or a lower-second-class degree plus a relevant postgraduate qualification. Applicant must not already be registered for a PhD or MPhil leading to a PhD before September/October 2026. Research must have developmental impact and align with a CSC development theme. Applicants must also follow the relevant nominating-agency route; nomination does not guarantee selection.
